Our team is a multi-layered one with training and support networks right down the line.
All of our staff have been trained to the highest standards certification and many have qualifications and experience far and beyond, ensuring the continuation of our rank of excellence.

Both have been in the scaffolding industry their entire working life and can call on their experience in New Zealand and internationally.
John Scott
His training started in 1983 at the Civil Engineering College at Bircham Newton, Norfolk, UK on the Cecol scaffolding course under the sponsorship of GKN Kwikform Limited.
John completed training in 1987 as an advanced scaffolder working around Portsmouth, UK, as a chargehand working on all aspects of scaffolding including commercial, residential and marine scaffolding.

- 1989-1993 Advance Scaffolding, Portsmouth, UK as Owner-Operator
- 1993-1999 Scaffolding Services, Portsmouth, UK. Charge-hand scaffolder erecting all types of scaffolding
- 1999-2003 Foreman-scaffolder for Palmers UK, working in and around South London mainly on commercial contracts
- 2003-2010 Pacific Scaffolding Limited, Auckland. Started out as Leading hand scaffolder eventually becoming Supervisor, then Contracts Manager. Some of the projects worked on included:

- University of Auckland Business School

Company Director, Bruce Pickerill, 027 457 9488
Bruce started in the scaffolding industry in Sydney, Australia in 1986 working on high rise construction, then continued working his way with aplomb right to the top.
He completed a Scaffolding Class 1 Certificate of Competency NSW and holds a National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding and a Site Safe Gold Card.
- 1990-1994 Macsway Scaffolding Limited. Worked on various residential and commercial projects such as: Marsden Point Oil Refinery and Portland Cement
- 1994-2003 Pacific Scaffolding Limited, Auckland. Starting out as Scaffolder eventually becoming Supervisor. Worked on various commercial, petrochemical and residential projects including various film industry sets such as Xena and Hercules
- 2004-2008 Owner of a Pacific Scaffolding franchise. Mostly concerned with residential and light commercial projects. Sold the franchise in 2008
- 2008-2010 Contracts Manager for Pacific Scaffolding Limited and was responsible for overseeing various residential and commercial projects such as: Mt Eden Prison and Fonterra House, Princes Street.
Tam Ross
He has twenty two years industry experience in all aspects of contracting.
Tam is a UK Advanced Scaffolder and holds a National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding and a Site Safe Gold Card.

Andrew Russell
With 13 years in the Scaffolding Industry, Andrew Russell holds advanced scaffolding level 5 in New Zealand and in Australia.
Andrew started in the scaffolding industry in 2006 at Pacific Scaffolding where he was promoted to a leading hand a within one year.
From 2006 until 2012 while working for this company Andrew was involved in light commercial, residential, plus large construction projects in NZ.

2014 - 2016
Andrew moved to Perth and
gained advanced 5 ticket, and
worked on mining sites as a leading hand supervisor.

Gary Pearson
Gary has 30 years scaffolding experience gained in the UK and worldwide.
He is an Advanced Scaffolder and holds a Site Safe Gold Card.

Ian Braithwaite
Ian has worked in the scaffolding industry for almost 30 years in the UK and NZ.

Ian gained his UK qualifications at the Civil Engineering College, Bircham Newton and worked
in England’s Lake District on residential and commercial projects from 1990-1999.
He moved to New Zealand in 1999 and joined Pacific Scaffolding where he worked on numerous projects as site foreman including:
AUT, Auckland Hospital, PWC Tower, Eden Park redevelopment (RWC 2011) Film/TV sets.
After spending time working in the South Island (Canterbury and Otago)
Ian joined Summit Scaffolding in April 2014 and was site foreman on large projects including:
TVNZ redevelopment Fonterra HQ Auckland prison (Paremoremo) NZICC
Ian became health and safety manager in March 2019, this roll includes the safety and welfare of
over 100 scaffolders and regular audits of all current projects.

Arron is originally from the UK and has 18 years experience across all aspects of the industry.

Nu’u Tanielu
Nu’u started in the scaffolding industry with Pacific Scaffolding working on a range of projects, then joined Summit Scaffolding in 2010 as Site Foreman.
Nu’u holds a New Zealand Advanced Scaffolder Certificate and has a Site Safe Gold Card.
He is a highly valued member of our team and has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the construction industry.

He is proud that his role has contributed towards the company becoming one of the largest in New Zealand.
Although increasing sales is an undeniably important facet to the organization, Summit do not use sales representatives to tout their services. This responsibility has been replaced with a reliance on the visible profile, client relationships and reputation gathered to date.
Huawei is happy to have relinquished the need for what can be an intrusive part of the operation, to focus on the job at hand.
Lee Buckley
Lee started in the Scaffold Industry as a Yard operative in 1996 with Crest Scaffolding in Manchester UK.
Over the next ten years while employed by Crest he underwent training up to advanced level which he achieved on 2001.
In 2007 he began his training as an Engineer.
In 2010 he became a qualified Engineer.
Lee formed Buckley Design Solutions in 2011 until present.
