Safety Policy

It is the policy of SSL (Summit Scaffolding Ltd) to conduct all their operations in such a manner that the health and safety of our work force, our clients and members of the public are protected to the best of our ability at all times.

SSL conduct their operations in accordance with The Health and Safety in Employment Act (1992) and The Health and Safety in Employment Regulations 1995.

SSL complies with the Best Practice Guidelines for Scaffolding in New Zealand.

It is recognised that due to the nature of our industry, there will be occasions when our work force will be placed in potentially hazardous situations. The Company will take all practical steps to eliminate or isolate these hazards. Where it is not possible to eliminate or isolate the hazard, the effects will be minimised.

At all times work shall be planned and executed in such a manner that the safety of each employee remains paramount. Work shall be supervised by personnel with requisite experience in the nature of the task to be performed and knowledge of safety procedures. All personnel have a responsibility for their own safety and for the safety of others.

In general, all safety problems will be solved as quickly as possible, and at as low an organisational level as practicable.

SSL are members of Scaffolding and Rigging New Zealand (SARNZ) - Promoting safe working practices in our industry.

SSL are members of Site Safe New Zealand.

Our goal is to achieve a ZERO accident record.
