John started in the scaffolding industry in 1983 by attending the Civil Engineering College at Bircham Newton, Norfolk, UK on the Cecol scaffolding course under the sponsorship of GKN Kwikform Limited.

  • Completed training in 1987 as an advanced scaffolder working around Portsmouth, UK, as a charge hand working on all aspects of scaffolding including: commercial, residential and marine scaffolding.
  • 1989-1993 Advance Scaffolding, Portsmouth, UK as Owner-Operator
  • 1993-1999 Scaffolding Services, Portsmouth, UK.  Charge-hand scaffolder erecting all types of scaffolding.
  • 1999-2003 Foreman-scaffolder for Palmers UK, working in and around South London mainly on commercial contracts.
  • 2003-2010 Pacific Scaffolding Limited, Auckland.  Started out as Leading Hand Scaffolder eventually becoming Supervisor, then Contracts Manager.  Some of the projects worked on included: Auckland Hospital, Sky City Convention Centre, University of Auckland Business School, Stamford Plaza and Eden Park.

John holds a National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding and a Site Safe Gold Card.

Bruce Pickerill

Bruce started in the scaffolding industry in Sydney, Australia in 1986 working on high rise construction.  He completed a Scaffolding Class 1 Certificate of Competency NSW.

  • 1990-1994 Macsway Scaffolding Limited.  Worked on various residential and commercial projects such as: Marsden Point Oil Refinery and Portland Cement.
  • 1994-2003 Pacific Scaffolding Limited, Auckland.  Starting out as Scaffolder eventually becoming Supervisor.  Worked on various commercial, petrochemical and residential projects including various film industry sets such as Xena and Hercules.
  • 2004-2008 Owner of a Pacific Scaffolding franchise.  Mostly concerned with residential and light commercial projects.  Sold the franchise in 2008.
  • 2008-2010 Contracts Manager for Pacific Scaffolding Limited and was responsible for overseeing various residential and commercial projects such as: Mt Eden Prison and Fonterra House, Princes Street.

Bruce holds a National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding and a Site Safe Gold Card.

Ross Gordon

Supervisor

With over 30 years in the scaffolding industry within New Zealand, Australia and the UK, Ross has an extensive range of scaffolding experience and competence in various industries, such as: petrochemical, commercial, residential, film and marine.

Ross has worked for some very reputable companies here and overseas and is currently supervisor at Summit Scaffolding Ltd. 

Ross holds a National Certificate in Advanced Scaffolding and a Site Safe Gold Card.

Gary Pearson

Supervisor

Gary is originally from the UK and has 30 years scaffolding experience in the UK and worldwide.

2007 – 2009 Kwik Scaff LLC Dubai. Scaffold trainer/Evaluator

2015 – 2015 SBM Offshore, FPSO Project China - HSE Scaffolding Superintendent.

Darren Lynch

Supervisor

Darren is originally from Glasgow, Scotland and has almost 20 years experience in the scaffolding industry in Scotland and here in New Zealand.

 

1998 – 2000 Oil & Gas Terminal Shutdown, Grangemouth.

2000 – 2002 Flotta Oil & Gas Terminal, Orkney Islands – Shutdown.

2002 – 2004 Scottish Heritage contracts (Nelsons Column, Doulton Fountain and Kibble Palace)

2004 – 2008 BAE Systems, Glasgow. Build 6 x 45 Type Destroyers.

2008 – 2010 Rosyth Dockyards. New dry dock and submarines.

2010 – 2011 BAE Systems, Glasgow. Refurb and asbestos removal.

2011 – 2014 Serious Stages. Building stages for various festivals and concerts.

2014    Acorn Scaffolding - Commonwealth Games, Celtic Park.

2014 – 2015 Serious Stages

2015 – 2017 Scaffolding in New Zealand. From 2017 as Supervisor for Summit Scaffolding.

Yard Foreman 

Nu’u started in the scaffolding industry with Pacific Scaffolding, working on a range of projects. Nu’u joined Summit Scaffolding in 2010 as Site Foreman.
